I think it is a little misleading to refer to the special issue bonds as worthless in the context you are discussing, as they are no more or less worthless than the fiat currency. The federal reserve will print the money needed to honor the special issue bonds so they are as good as the fiat currency. On a separate note I don’t understand your interest in fiat currency debt? From an anarchist perspective it would become meaningless if people recognized the illegitimacy of the state.

I can follow you on fiat money being of no real value along with bonds, unlike sound money, or whatever form of goods trading, people want to do. Yes the federal government can print money to infinity and beyond, but … Continue reading

I was wondering if you had any thoughts on how one might refer to government, in conversation with an average person, to construe it’s illegitimacy. Words have power and people have been so heavily propagandized that the word “government” ends up meaning something to most people that is entirely contrary to what a government actually is. “Government” is a word that most have been raised to respect and trying to have a real conversation about it one ends up circling around lingistic limitation

The common denominator in all government activity is the use of force: Government either forces you to do things, forces you not to do things, or forces you to pay for things. – Doug Newman The State: A centralized coercive … Continue reading

How much suffering am I willing to inflict on behalf of what I believe to be the truth? … How much suffering am I willing to endure on behalf of what I believe to be the truth?

You can be oblivious to the truth, but then again, not knowing about it, the outside world can still make you suffer

What are some good sources for news that aren’t one of the major stations? I like to know what’s going on in the world, but I don’t like to have it twisted and blurred by media lies.
